This is my first project from Art 107, and coincidentally, also one of the first images I ever created using Photoshop. It is an edited photograph of a paper sculpture that had to support itself without any adhesive. As I struggled to photograph the sculpture from an angle that allowed its volume and body to be appreciated, I thought of a weary traveler, crossing sun-baked dunes of some sprawling desert, looking up and squinting at an enormous structure rising into the empty sky.
“Yeah, ‘Tower’,” I thought to myself. “That fits.”
